We smoke the Halen Mon seasalt over 400 year old Welsh oak. The smoked seasalt is proving very succesful with top gourmet chefs worldwide . It is a component of the M & S Gastro grill range. and can be found in all the top retailers including Harrod's ,Harvey Nicks etc.
Being of a large crystalline nature, we thought that the smoking time would not be to long. But at normal smoke densities it can take up top 7 days before the pure white Anglesey seasalt absorbs the oak smoke and turns a golden yellow.
